Chureito Pagoda – Excellent Mt.Fuji views

 

Chureito Pagoda is a five storied pagoda, and it’s in
Arakurayama Sengen Park where you can see Kyoto and Fuji at the same time.

Chureito Pagoda is very popular especially for tourists from overseas,
and it’s an excellent photo spot that you can take
pictures of a five storied pagoda and Mt.Fuji together.

 

Lots of steps to Chureito Pagoda

To get to Chureito pagoda, you have nearly 400 steps.

Sometimes the stairs are used for training by local students,
and it’s quite hard to go up to the top but the view from the top is worth it.

Events such as cherry blossom festival may be held depending on the season.
Also when climbing Mt. Arakura from Chureito Pagoda for about 15 minutes,
there are clustered areas of Iris(Ayame), so Ayame festival is held around June.

 

Recommended time to take photos of Chureito Pagoda

If you like photo, Chureito Pagoda is very enjoyable place.

For example in spring, you can take pictures of Chureito Pagoda,
Mt.Fuji, and cherry blossoms (Somei-Yoshino) together,
and in autumn, you can take colored leaves instead of cherry blossoms.

Not only in a daytime but also nighttime is beautiful.
An illuminated Chureito Pagoda stands out with the night view behind.

But be careful for your steps if you go there at night ! X-D
